Welcome to She Wakes Up, your remedy to healing, resilience, connection, and overall well-being to help you build self-confidence and practice self-compassion. I’m Stacy Fayling, and I understand the dark and the light that can come from trauma, because I’ve endured the transformation. That’s why I created this space, one that is open, honest, and real. A place that is centered around empowerment so that you can foster love and worthiness with yourself and be surrounded by a supportive community of women who get what you’re going through; because even though it may feel like it at times, you’re not alone. Healing trauma is a lifelong journey and through it all, I am here because it is my passion to help you navigate the stress and anxiety so you can find peace, purpose, and a deeper connection with yourself. You will be amazed at how quickly your life progresses once you start the process. Come be a part of the growth and shared conversation, right here, where progress becomes a collective journey of true awakening.

As we grow up, life gets busier and a lot more serious. We tend to stay focused on the hustle & grind within the walls of our home, at work, all while trying to keep tiny humans (and let's be honest) ourselves thriving!
We are chatting about fun, joy, and laughter; how important it is and how we can get it back into our day-to-day routines.
We all have a million things going on and we often forget that life wasn't made to be this heavy. As kids we used to play and have fun, be carefree and wild. Sometimes we even see that same sparkle in our own kids and wish for a second we could go back.
One thing I've come to realize is that it is possible to bring the fun back. It helps my mood, my energy, and most importantly, it helps my relationships. It feels so good in my soul when I remember to close the lap top and just play with my kids for awhile.
I've even discovered that the not so fun tasks that I tell myself have to get done are a lot less stressful when I can involve my kids; they make it fun!
It's in those moments that I remember what my life is really about and it's not about the dishes in the sink or the laundry that needs folded (cuz we all have a pile or 2 calling our name on any given day lol); but it's about the memories that I can make while I'm still here.
They aren't going to remember or wish that mommy always had a clean sink or made bed. They are going to remember mom always working and never having time to play. OR, what I'm really working to be more mindful of what memories I should be making with them instead.
I think we could all use a little more light, love, and laughter- daily doses is what i'm prescribing to each and every one of us!! Reflect back on the questions we talked about in today's episode; I hope you find fun in it and are able to make space for fun in your life a heck of a lot more!!
REFLECTION QUESTIONS:
1. What's something you used to enjoy doing as a child?
2. What's something you enjoyed as a kid that you want to get back into OR what is something you've always wanted to try that you think would be fun?
3. How can you bring some fun back into your life today?
